The owners of the Ginory land are requesting another 12.2 million euros from the Arrecife City Council, as revealed by the PSOE, which adds that it did so last April 7 and "while the mayor Astrid Pérez is trying to hide it from all citizens."
"It seems that what Astrid wants is to pay the largest number of millions possible to the Ginory property, without the citizens finding out, but the PSOE is not going to allow it," criticizes Cristina Duque, spokesperson for the PSOE in the council.
This new request, they point out from the PSOE, "is an appeal signed last April 7, which we have had access to, in which the property requests new default interest, for an amount of 4,034,714.03 euros, to which we must add new procedural interest, worth another 8,203,382.85 euros, a total of 12,238,096.90 euros." "To this amount we must add the request for the loan of 27 million euros and its interest, for which the council will have to pay more than 760 thousand euros, adds Duque."

From the PSOE they point out that "far from saving a single euro cent, what Astrid has achieved, with the advance of the millions on December 31, is to give the property arguments so that they now ask us for more than 12 million new ones, as reflected in the appeal that the City Council had proceeded to pay the entire principal and a good part of the interest due - which is clearly an act of the possibility that this party has been defending at all times."

Duque affirms that "advancing the money and discussing the payment of interest, without agreement with anyone, meant reopening a dangerous judicial debate." "As has been seen since January.
