Five of the eight people arrested this Monday in Operation "Jable" were brought to justice on Wednesday morning and are expected to testify in Court number 5 in the next few hours, after being questioned this Tuesday at the Civil Guard facilities.
According to ACN Press, they would be the former mayor of Arrecife, María Isabel Déniz, the former PSOE councilor Miguel Ángel Leal, the businessman Francisco Armas, the technician of the Arrecife City Council, Rafael Arrocha, and the director of Urbaser, Stephan Jean Valverde.
The other three detainees, Jacinto Álvarez, Manuel Spínola and Julio Romero, remain in the Civil Guard facilities. The Court has also summoned several witnesses to testify this Wednesday, including the Deputy Minister of Justice of the Government of the Canary Islands, Carolina Déniz.
