The telematic system launched by the Ministry of Education and Universities has received a total of 15,004 registrations for the Public Employment Offer that it has convened this year in eight specialties, all from the Teachers Corps, with 1,200 places. Of these, 664 have been registered in Lanzarote. Tenerife has registered 6,774 applications, Gran Canaria 6,725, Fuerteventura 495, La Palma 267, La Gomera 53 and El Hierro 26.

By order of registration, the most requested specialty has been Primary Education, followed by Infant Education, Physical Education, Special Education (Therapeutic Pedagogy), English, Hearing and Language and, finally, French.

Specifically, 4,952 registrations have been registered to occupy one of the 283 places offered in Primary Education; 3,618 for the 169 in Infant Education; 1,854 for the 130 in Physical Education; 1,689 for the 185 in Therapeutic Pedagogy and 1,610 for the 283 places in English. Likewise, 650 candidacies have been registered to occupy one of the 65 places offered in Music; 361 for the 35 in Hearing and Language; and 270 for the French specialty with 50 places offered.

However, the most demanded places are those in Infant Education, with 21.41 registrations for each one. They are followed, in descending order, by the specialties of Primary, with 17.5 registrations for each place; Physical Education, with 14.26; Hearing and Language, with 10.31; Music, with 10; Special Education (PT), with 9.13; English, with 5.69 and French, with 5.4.

The oppositions will start on June 22

From the Government of the Canary Islands they point out, however, that these data are provisional and collect exactly all the registrations that have been registered in the system for each specialty, which does not have to coincide with the number of people who have presented them, since a candidate can register in several specialties.

From now on, the Ministry of Education indicates, the verification of all applications will be carried out and, once the process is finished, the provisional list of opponents will be published, who may submit to the selective process, whose presentation is scheduled for June 22.

In addition to the 1,200 places for the different specialties of the Teachers Corps, 10 more have been convened for the Educational Inspection, which is carried out through a different procedure.
