The Coalición Canaria (CC) candidate for Mayor of Arrecife, Echedey Eugenio, together with the rest of the team, presented this Tuesday morning, May 23, at the headquarters of the nationalist formation in Arrecife, the government program with which "we are going to restore to the citizens the pride of being from Arrecife and living in the third capital of the Canary Islands."

The nationalist candidate has presented his government program together with "a video clip in which several members of his electoral list participate, through which the main lines of action are advanced to "carry out the real change of Arrecife."

In this sense, Eugenio has stated that, "if the results are favorable next Sunday and we have the opportunity to govern this city, we will launch a plan with seventy-five measures that "are specified in the term that we already coined four years ago, which is none other than launching Arrecife."

In this sense, the candidate has made it clear that his government will bet on "transforming Arrecife into the worthy capital of Lanzarote, of the Biosphere Reserve and into the blue capital of the Macaronesia region, developing a transforming project looking at the sea to generate an opportunity for the future for our young people and their training and the new employment possibilities that are generated around it, without ceasing to look at tourism and, above all, and this is the most important thing, without ceasing to look at our neighborhoods."

Regarding the seventeen neighborhoods of the city, Echedey Eugenio has announced that the transformation will begin "with a commitment to accessibility and security and the immediate application of asphalt, sidewalk and lighting plans."

The central idea of the project will revolve around "the need to regenerate the city through a development model based on sustainability, the idea and participation of citizens, security and health", transversal axes that articulate new political scenarios and new ways of conceiving life in common, to achieve the objective of placing Arrecife "as the city with the highest quality of life in the Canary Islands."

For the nationalist candidate, “if we look at our recent history, we can see that Arrecife has lost public space, the areas of coexistence have disappeared or lost utility, and the services are distributed unequally among the neighborhoods and this causes inequalities between our neighbors, constituting a city with first and second class citizens", he acknowledges.

Therefore, for Eugenio, the approach must be to "recover public space and bring services closer to our neighbors in an egalitarian way, we must move towards an integrated city without differentiations", he adds.

In another order of things, Echedey Eugenio has announced "an electoral promise that he announced that he will fulfill in the first six months of the legislature in which "the Government of the Canary Islands, if Fernando Clavijo is the president, will approve the Supplementary Plan of Arrecife, undoing the political changes made in the past term by the PSOE in what affects the settlements of the city and the Islote del Francés or, otherwise, we will rescue it from the City Council to proceed with its approval."

Finally, Eugenio has recalled that "Arrecife has a real opportunity to change and transform" and has predicted that "for this, next May 28, with the support of the citizens, thirteen councilors from Coalición Canaria must leave the polls to promote change, preventing other very divergent formations from agreeing again, focusing on the distribution of armchairs, forgetting again that the important thing is Arrecife and its people."

The presentation of the electoral program has had an original measure such as the presentation of "a musical video clip with part of the electoral program for those who do not have time to read our extensive government proposal", he announces.

The musical piece has been performed by the members of the Arrecife electoral list: Iván Marín, Maida Morales, Cata Suárez and Marta Ruiz who have been accompanied by Samuel Hernández, Luis Tavío, Paqui Vieira, Jesús Machín, Haridian Sánchez, Nayeli De León, Alexia Cedrés, Jonay Martín and Zebenzuí Casanova, the party reports.
