The president of the Nationalist Parliamentary Group (CC), David Toledo, has accused the PSOE of "lying when it speaks of negative management in matters of health, housing, transportation, roads or of creating an unequal society."

“You have to have courage to say that health management is going badly, when in the Canary Islands we still don't know what happened to the 4 million euros for masks; you have to have courage to talk about housing when you didn't build a single one and we have approved a Decree Law and a Bill to regulate Vacation rentals; you have to have courage to talk about transportation, when you were betting on 50% free buses and we were betting on 100%; you have to have courage to talk about the roads, when your management is going to cost the Canarians more than 18 million euros in compensation in the work of the island ring of Tenerife”, said David Toledo in allusion to the management of the government of the socialists in the previous government of the Pact of the Flowers.

In this line, the president of the nationalists in Parliament, has lamented that the socialist spokesperson "laughs every time his political inconsistencies are pointed out", “it is not for less because the management of the PSOE was a joke, yes, a bad taste joke for the Canarians who are paying for their political mistakes”.

In contrast, David Toledo, has valued the management of the current Government of the Canary Islands “which in the first year of legislature has done more for the Canary Islands than the PSOE in its first year of legislature”. In this sense, Toledo has highlighted the work of the president, Fernando Clavijo, who has also faced different emergencies and who has responded to them “with management”.

In his speech, the president of the nationalist parliamentary group has given as an example of this management the decrees on housing, draft laws to regulate vacation rentals, decrees on the reconstruction of La Palma; he has also highlighted the progress in the migratory crisis “unthinkable years ago”, as well as the dialogue with businessmen, unions, town councils and island councils for the redistribution of wealth and protection of the territory”.

In addition, David Toledo wanted to conclude his speech by congratulating the president of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, “for his lesson in good work, dialogue and work in the face of the empty criticism of the opposition”.

The president of the Government of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, has assured that the Executive has had to "work hard to address the various vicissitudes that he inherited from the previous Government, whose management was marked by neglect.” “We do not want to be carried away by inertia, but we work hard to make things happen”, added Clavijo, who gave as an example the work carried out in the course of this year to address the energy crisis, the water crisis, the housing emergency or the progress in Health, among other issues.
