The Governing Council of the Cabildo of Lanzarote has approved this Monday the signing of a collaboration agreement with the Complutense University of Madrid so that students can do internships in the highest island institution.

The initiative of the Cabildo of Lanzarote is part of the collaboration agreements regarding the realization of curricular and extracurricular internships between the Cabildo of Lanzarote and different educational institutions of Lanzarote and the rest of Spain, through the Department of Human Resources led by Miguel Ángel Jiménez.

“We try to add the largest number of academic institutions to this program to bring students' internships closer to a future job”, according to the Minister of Human Resources of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Miguel Ángel Jiménez.

The purpose of the agreement is to formalize the cooperation between both administrations, regarding the realization of training practices, and to establish a regulatory framework for the external practices of the students of the Complutense University and the Island Council of Lanzarote.

“Students will be able to apply and complement the knowledge acquired during their academic training, allowing them to acquire the necessary skills for their development in the exercise of professional activities and entrepreneurship, all focused as a practical experience that facilitates future labor insertion”, according to the head of Education of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Ascensión Toledo.
