The Local Assembly of Coalición Canaria Arrecife will elect on June 10 the person who will head the electoral list to the capital City Council in the local elections of May 2023.

This was unanimously approved this Tuesday by the Local Committee, which also established the municipal Recova of Arrecife as the venue for the event. The party recalls that the local assemblies "have the power to approve the proposal for municipal candidacy", which will later be submitted to the Insular Political Council for approval, and that it will be the National Political Council that finally ratifies it.

“We are starting an exciting, participatory and totally transparent process, in order to regain the support of all citizens”, says the local secretary, Jacobo Lemes, who recalls that in the last elections the formation achieved nine representatives in the Consistory.

In this way, Coalición Canaria opens the period for submitting candidacies, and those interested may do so up to seven days before the established date. The party points out that any affiliated or militant person may apply, as long as they meet the statutory, affiliation and economic requirements.

The nationalist formation points out that Arrecife thus becomes the first committee to start its electoral career, once last week the Insular Political Council of Coalición Canaria Lanzarote approved, at the proposal of the Insular Executive, and unanimously, the calendar that marks the process of election of candidates to the different administrations in their different organic areas, with a view to the elections of May 2023.
