Coalición Canaria and the Partido Popular have closed this Tuesday their agreement to form together the new Government of the Canary Islands, a pact to which the Agrupación Herreña Independiente could be added this Wednesday and to which they will also offer to join the Agrupación Socialista Gomera.

The agreement does not yet establish the structure of government or the distribution of responsibilities, beyond the positions of president and vice president, which will be held by Fernando Clavijo and Manuel Domínguez, respectively, but it does set a "legislature program".

As explained by the popular Manuel Domínguez, the two parties take as a priority to promote a fiscal reform, apply a "profound change" to public health, and replace "the policy of the check for everyone and for everything" with measures that help the canaries "to get ahead on their own".
