The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Pedro San Ginés, and the legal representative of Club La Santa signed a collaboration agreement for the sponsorship of sports activities and events organized by the Department of Youth, Sports and Road Safety, which is directed by councilor Migdalia Machín. Within the framework of this agreement, Club La Santa will collaborate with the events organized by the Cabildo, providing free accommodation necessary for the organization of said competitions, committing to cover up to a maximum annual value of 15,000 euros.
This sponsorship will also include the payment by La Santa of sports promotional material and expenses derived from the organization of the activities and events organized by the Island Sports Service, for a maximum amount of 15,000 euros, as reported by the Cabildo through a statement.
Similarly, the Club will also be involved in the dissemination of events organized by the Island Sports Service, through its own website, delivering brochures and information material of the Cabildo's events to those registered in all activities organized by the Club, as well as in all those fairs or sports events that take place outside the island and to which Club La Santa attends.
Talks and discussions
Jointly, they also commit to organizing talks and discussions with athletes of national and international recognition, with Club La Santa bearing the expenses derived from plane tickets, accommodation, diets and others. For its part, the Cabildo of Lanzarote will offer these elite athletes the possibility of a visit to the main tourist sites of the island, with the aim of also promoting them in this area, as well as linking and promoting the image of the Club in all those sports events and activities of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
The president of the Cabildo, Pedro San Ginés, wanted to express his recognition and gratitude to the management and ownership of Club La Santa for "contributing to the island, its society and the promotion of sports throughout its trajectory as an elite sports complex and reference in the island of Lanzarote".
Likewise, he expressed his satisfaction with the agreement reached, "fundamentally in these times of crisis in which administrations need to increasingly count on public-private collaboration in matters that benefit the general interest, as in this case are the high-level sports events that are held on the island of Lanzarote, such as the recently held Ironman 70.3".
