The Municipal Group of Coalición Canaria (CC) in the Yaiza City Council, through its spokesperson Emilio Machín, has registered a motion for debate in the next plenary session of the Corporation, with the aim of requesting the acquisition of plots or properties in the town of El Golfo. The proposal seeks to "guarantee the sustainable development of this enclave and improve the quality of life of its residents".

As the nationalists emphasize in their motion, El Golfo is a nucleus of great historical, cultural and social value within the municipality of Yaiza, which faces a lack of adequate infrastructure to meet the needs of its population.

For CC, "the recent approval of the sanitation project in the area represents a key opportunity for its growth and consolidation, so it considers it essential that the City Council act and acquire land that allows the creation of public spaces and services necessary for the residents".

“It is time to think about the future of El Golfo and ensure that its growth is orderly and sustainable. The acquisition of these plots will not only facilitate the construction of homes and services, but will also allow the creation of recreational, cultural and sports spaces that strengthen the social fabric of the town,” says Emilio Machín.

The motion of the nationalists also proposes to establish mechanisms for citizen participation and collaboration with experts in urban planning, in order to ensure the efficient use of the acquired land and guarantee that the resulting projects respond to real needs.
