Coalición Canaria San Bartolomé denounces “the lamentable state” of the playgrounds in Playa Honda, “which are experiencing a continuous Halloween due to the neglect and lack of responsibility of the City Council's government group in their care and maintenance”.

The CC councillors in the municipality of San Bartolomé have verified that the playgrounds in Playa Honda have a "serious problem of lighting and cleanliness", after visiting them in response to a request made by residents of this town. In this sense, the municipal nationalist spokesperson, David Rocío, denounces that “they lack light points and accumulate a lot of dirt to the point that there is a health problem due to the excrement of birds deposited in them, which have not been cleaned”.

Rocío adds that “as they do not have lighting, the parks present insecurity for their users, girls and boys who see how from certain hours, especially in winter, they cannot enjoy them, a situation criticised by neighbours who have even suffered actions of citizen insecurity”. For this reason, from the party we demand that the government group put an end to “the lighting deficiencies” in the playgrounds, “because more lighting equals greater inclusion and security”; as well as “that the cleaning, disinfection and washing tasks be intensified in the play areas so that girls and boys can enjoy them with all the necessary security and health guarantees”.

The councillors also regret that “in some cases these are new facilities that have not been provided with the necessary services for their cleaning and conservation”, and consider it “unacceptable that cleaning and disinfection both in playgrounds and in other municipal spaces is not guaranteed daily, putting the health of the users of these facilities at risk”.
