Coalición Canaria San Bartolomé denounces the "deficient management carried out by the socialist government group, headed by Isidro Pérez, of the public home help service, to the point that these days many elderly people in the municipality have stopped receiving this service without prior notice intended for their personal care and attention."
The nationalist spokesperson, David Rocío, considers it "lamentable that currently the City Council only has one caregiver for the entire municipality, which is causing serious setbacks in many families who have not even received communication from Social Services that their elders were going to stop receiving home help these days."
Rocío asks the mayor to "worry once and for all about the care and attention that the elderly need and increase the number of personnel dedicated to this service as soon as possible." In this sense, he adds that "the City Council has four home help workers on staff, of whom three are not available these days for various reasons," so he considers it necessary "an immediate increase in this number in order to properly serve the around 40 beneficiaries of this service in the municipality."
The nationalist spokesperson in the San Bartolomé City Council highlights "the commendable and effective work that these municipal workers have been carrying out for years, and even decades in the case of some, but what is clear is that their number is insufficient, and even more so when situations of this type occur, so the government group must increase the staff of caregivers in a stable manner as soon as possible."
