The debate opened in CC with the configuration of the electoral lists has opened a new front, with the demands of the Nationalist Youth of Lanzarote (JNL), who have publicly demanded space in these lists, and also that Jesús Machín repeat to Parliament.

“We are fortunate to have great values within our youth formation, one of the strongest in all of the Canary Islands. Values such as the national secretary of Organization, David Toledo, also a councilor in Arrecife, or our parliamentarian and general secretary of the Nationalist Youth of the Canary Islands, Jesús Machín, in addition to many other colleagues who in this time have assumed different responsibilities in city councils and Cabildo”, emphasizes Maciot Cabrera, who is general secretary of the JNL and also councilor in the City Council of Arrecife.

For the youth leader, Machín's presence in the Parliament of the Canary Islands has been "vital to give visibility in the Canarian Chamber to the problems and needs not only of Lanzarote and La Graciosa but of all the Canary Islands."

“Jesús is a clear example of perseverance and work, of concern and involvement. CC's commitment to having a young person in Parliament has been a resounding success and we believe that continuity is only fair”, he says.

In his opinion, "Machín has become the parliamentarian who has presented the greatest number of initiatives for the islands of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, giving voice to students, the primary sector, health issues, the educational, social, cultural and sports sectors, the elderly, etcetera, and has become an example to follow in the fight for equality, mental health, respect for the environment or alternative energies", say the JNL.

“We need more young people like Jesús Machín in the Parliament of the Canary Islands or like David Toledo in the main bodies of the party, and like so many others who have made it clear throughout this mandate that our priority is the people who live in the Canary Islands”, Cabrera emphasizes.
