The local secretary of Coalición Canaria in Haría, Víctor Robayna, has met with the Councilor of the Water Consortium of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Domingo Cejas, to convey the concern of households and businesses in the municipality about the continuous water cuts.
In this meeting, Robayna expressed his gratitude for the effort that Councilor Cejas is making to "find solutions to this serious problem that directly affects the quality of life of the people of Haría."
During the meeting, Robayna highlighted the importance of advancing measures to guarantee the water supply, emphasizing that "Haría cannot continue to face cuts without a clear response and long-term solutions."
The CC spokesperson in the Haría City Council also "recognized the willingness and work of Councilor Domingo Cejas, who is being key" in the search for alternatives to stabilize the supply and avoid future cuts.
Similarly, Robayna highlighted that the councilor has assured him that "several options are being explored to prevent the problem from prolonging over time, showing a clear commitment to resolving this supply crisis."
The local secretary of the northern nationalists pointed out that, as explained by the head of the Water Consortium, "actions such as optimizing the service during critical hours and evaluating alternative supply sources are being carried out. There is a firm commitment to resolve this crisis and improve the infrastructures that guarantee a constant supply."
He also lamented that the Socialist Party "is taking advantage of this situation to gain political credit, instead of focusing on finding effective solutions."
"The PSOE is politicizing an issue as serious as water in Haría, which demonstrates a lack of respect towards the residents who suffer the consequences of these cuts. This is not a topic for politics, but to work together for the well-being of the citizens," Robayna emphasizes.
Robayna emphasized that while Coalición Canaria is working towards a solution, the Socialist Party (PSOE) is trying to gain political profit.
"It is unacceptable that instead of collaborating, the PSOE is using water cuts as a political weapon, demonstrating total irresponsibility," he underlines, adding that "everything is a smokescreen to cover up their lack of management and ineffectiveness over the last year and a half. Haría is more abandoned than ever."
