The candidate of the Popular Party to the City Council of Tinajo, Carmen Rosa Pérez, assured this Monday, during the rally held in the socio-cultural center, that "one of the main bets of the Popular Party in Tinajo is to work for the achievement of a High Performance Sports Center, which would be unique in the Canary Islands, and which would turn our municipality into an international benchmark for elite sports." A fact that, in his opinion, "would mean a very important economic boost, as well as a factor of progress and advancement for this town."
Pérez also highlighted among her main proposals "the introduction of new technologies, as well as the application of research, development and innovation in the agriculture of Tinajo, with the creation of an agricultural innovation center."
In this way, Pérez explained, "the primary sector, now abandoned, would be strengthened, and new forms of activity creation would be generated." "In addition, we must continue to improve the Tinajo Products Market, which is held on Sundays in Mancha Blanca, not only promoting it as a tourist offer, but also through the achievement of agreements with accommodation establishments so that the products of our municipality have an outlet as a gastronomic offer," she added.
The candidate for Mayor of Tinajo also explained the need to "promote the training and preparation of our young people", as well as "reduce and set a ceiling on the level of spending of the Local Administration" and "ensure that the Timanfaya National Park Parking is located in our municipality, since it would be an infrastructure that would be accompanied by other complementary activities, which would contribute to diversify and boost our economy."
