Workers from the Tourist Centers have this Thursday watered the plants of Jameos del Agua to prevent their deterioration, although they are still on strike. "They are plants over 60 years old, very delicate, and the workers have voluntarily decided to water them, since it is a historic garden, a BIC and, in addition, for the gardeners they are like their girls," said the president of the Company Committee, Antonio Bonilla.
Bonilla pointed out that this action was proposed to the company days ago, although they were told that "the workers should clock in and go in work clothes", which they finally did not do, since they "want to continue supporting the strike".
"But the director of the center is aware of this," said the president of the Company Committee, who pointed out that the gardeners have received "applause" from the workers who were in Jameos.
