Ástrid Pérez has 10 days to convene the plenary session requested by CC on the Ginory file

The nationalists have registered this Monday the request that they announced in a press conference, so that the mayor of Arrecife clarifies, among other issues, "the disappearance of part of the documentation"

CC Press Conference on the Ginory Case

As announced last week in a press conference, the Nationalist Group (CC-PNC) in the Arrecife City Council has registered this Monday, March 22, the request for the convocation of an extraordinary Plenary session "in which the capital's mayoress must clarify, among other issues, the disappearance of part of the documentation of the Ginory file."

Thus, the nationalists recall that, according to the Law, the capital's mayoress has a period of ten days to summon the highest municipal representation body. "If she does not do so, the municipal secretary will automatically convene it within the following 15 days," they point out.

As the nationalist spokesperson, Echedey Eugenio, announced last Wednesday, the plenary session requested asks for the appearance of Ástrid Pérez, not only as the current mayoress of the Arrecife City Council, but also as the former municipal spokesperson for the Popular Group, president of the PP of Lanzarote and jurist, “in order to clarify what happened with the missing documentation in the file provided to this group, the conditions under which the loan is intended to be requested to liquidate in a single payment what was approved in the Payment Plan and various issues related to this matter.”

Likewise, the contracting of an independent audit regarding the events that have occurred is requested and that basically it is limited "to the loss of procedural opportunity for not presenting contradictory appraisal before the jury of expropriations and the rest of the steps taken by this City Council since the property claimed for the first time the expropriation before it."

In the same way, the nationalists ask that the Arrecife City Council, as an interested party, request the certification of ownership and encumbrances, as well as literal certification or complete transcription of the entries or inscriptions of the history of the property to the property registry.

Finally, CC considers "essential" the creation of a specific political commission" to investigate and submit to the plenary a proposal regarding everything related to this file, making available to it the legal, technical and economic means necessary to carry out its work and that it be composed of a representation of each municipal group according to the electoral results of each of them."
