The Arrecife City Council continues to invest in the modernization of municipal services. The Public Sector Procurement Platform includes the official announcement of the mayor's office of the capital where the supply of "a computer application for police management in iCloud mode" has been put out to tender. The value of the contract, for the entire period, is "80,000 euros", informs the Council.

The Municipal Government group has proposed to continue providing the Local Police force with personnel and resources to continue providing services to citizens and visitors. The Local Police of Arrecife provided more than 30,000 services in the capital of Lanzarote, its area of police action, during 2023.

According to the technical specifications for this new tender, "a management system is required that covers the needs of the Local Police in a comprehensive manner, mainly referring to the fact that it must be guaranteed that problems arising from differences in data structures and management existing in the different sources of information capture (Own databases, DGT...) and adapting them to the new architectures and work philosophies provided by current technologies."

"Also avoiding interaction problems and adapting them to the new trends in centralized management, simplifying tasks and procedures to avoid repetitive work by the different departments and errors in the treatment and transmission of data, for the greater efficiency and effectiveness of the work carried out."

During this new term, the Local Police will premiere, in addition to these new technological supports, more police vehicles and motorcycles that will reinforce attention in the streets of the city together with the preventive activity that is already being developed with the recent premiere of the video surveillance service with cameras deployed in sensitive areas of the capital.
