The Arrecife City Council has published two new tenders on the Public Sector Procurement Platform to meet the needs of municipal services: the contract for lighting, sound, audiovisual equipment, infrastructure, production, and special effects for the 2027 Carnival, divided into five lots and with a base tender budget of 1,695,789.50 euros, and the supply, installation, and repair of tires for municipal buses, with a base budget of 20,963.80 euros.
The deputy mayor and head of the Finance and Procurement departments, Echedey Eugenio, values these procedures as "part of the administrative work necessary to guarantee the provision of public services and to prepare municipal activities and needs in advance."
“Behind every municipal service there is essential planning and contracting work. Moving forward with these procedures allows us to advance in the preparation of events as important for Arrecife as the Carnival and, at the same time, to meet ordinary needs such as the maintenance of municipal buses,” Eugenio points out.
The tender for the 2027 Carnival includes five distinct lots: lighting and sound, audiovisual equipment, infrastructure, event production, and special effects. The contract has an execution period of five months and an estimated value of 1,584,850 euros, while the base budget amounts to 1,695,789.50 euros, including taxes.
The division into lots allows for offers to be submitted for one or more of them, up to a maximum of five, and for the entirety of the lots to be awarded to the same company, in accordance with the conditions set out in the tender documents.
The award criteria vary depending on the lot. In addition to the economic offer, aspects such as transport vehicles, availability of ecological and adapted restrooms, universal accessibility measures, hiring of people with disabilities above the mandatory quota, and reinforcement of production and security and prevention coordination teams are valued.
The deadline for submitting offers is November 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM, Canary Islands time.
Repair of municipal buses for more than 20,900 euros
The second procedure aims at the supply, installation, and repair of tires for the urban municipal buses of Arrecife. It is a supply contract with an initial execution period of one year and the possibility of up to three extensions, in accordance with the conditions established in the tender documents.
The base tender budget is 20,963.80 euros, including taxes, and the estimated value of the contract amounts to 77,360 euros. The award will be made based on the economic criterion, through a percentage discount on unit prices.
Interested companies can submit their offers until November 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM, Canary Islands time.
Echedey Eugenio underlines the importance of continuing to promote the contractual activity of the City Council to cover the needs of the different municipal areas, both in the organization of events and in the daily operation of public services.
Both procedures are processed through an open procedure with electronic submission of offers through the Public Sector Contracting Platform.
