The Arrecife City Council has repaired and returned the weather vane to the Music Kiosk, in the José Ramírez Cerdá Park.
"We have restored it with great care and dedication and it is once again beautiful in its original place, where we can see it indicating the direction of the wind with that marine beauty that characterizes it so much," says Astrid Pérez.
"Thus, with this action by the Arrecife City Council, this decorative and functional element, which evokes a Moorish rooster, is once again spinning freely after having remained for many years in a municipal warehouse awaiting repair," confirms the Consistory.
The "Music Kiosk" of Arrecife is located in the most emblematic place of the Port, in the heart of the "Onion Dock" and was built in 1895 to house the performances of the Music Bands and liven up with civil cultured music the only promenade that existed.
