The Department of Education of the Arrecife City Council has published this Monday, August 5, the provisional list of transport aid for students who have studied outside the island during the academic year 2023/2024.
Councilor Abigail González has expressed her satisfaction with the process of awarding these grants, highlighting that “these grants are essential to support our families and students, who face significant expenses when having to move outside of Lanzarote to continue their academic training.”
The call, which has an increased budget of 350,000 euros this year, has been designed to reach the largest possible number of beneficiaries. González has stressed that “we have worked to increase the funds available, as we understand the importance of ensuring that no student from Arrecife is left without access to higher education for economic reasons.”
The provisional list can be consulted on the Arrecife City Council website, in the electronic headquarters section and notice board.
Those interested have a period of ten business days from the publication to present allegations.
The councilor has reiterated her department's commitment to continue improving and expanding these grants in the future, noting that “our goal is for all young people in Arrecife to have the opportunity to access a quality education, regardless of geographical or economic barriers.”
