The Arrecife City Council is "the fastest to pay suppliers with an average payment period of 8 and a half days, according to the report published on its website by the Ministry of Finance and Public Function on the situation of Local Corporations in Spain", says the mayor, Astrid Pérez.

“With the previous Government group, the average payment period to suppliers was 371 days, more than a year, and in these almost 4 years that we have been governing we have reached 8 days, which demonstrates the work and good management that we are carrying out of the economic resources of the city council”, highlights the mayor of Arrecife Ástrid Pérez.

According to data from the Ministry of Finance, Arrecife is followed in payment period by the municipality of Teguise with 11 days, Tías with 17 days, Yaiza with 21 days, San Bartolomé with 29 days, Cabildo with 34 days, Haría with 51 days and Tinajo, which is the slowest to pay, with 107 days.

“Our objective has always been to do the impossible so that suppliers, who are mostly small and medium-sized companies, could collect as quickly as possible and avoid liquidity problems during these years where they have had to face a strong economic crisis”, concludes Astrid Pérez.
