The Arrecife City Council has approved granting three new licenses for the construction of new residential and industrial buildings to be built in the neighborhoods of La Vega, Argana Alta and Puerto de Naos.

Two licenses are to develop two buildings for housing, in the neighborhoods of La Vega and Argana Alta. According to information from the Technical Office, under the direction of Councilor Maciot Cabrera Cedrés, two buildings have been authorized, three floors between party walls, in La Vega, and two floors in Argana Alta, which will be used for housing.

The third authorized license will allow the execution of works for a three-story industrial building in the Puerto de Naos area. This property will be used for garage and offices. In recent times, the area surrounding Puerto de Naos, in the capital of Lanzarote, is experiencing a booming urban development for companies linked to the blue economy (business activities related to the sea).

For the mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, "accelerating the granting of licenses supports the business sector to continue boosting the economy in Lanzarote." "We are working to generate more employment with new investments in Arrecife, granting with planning the licenses requested by promoters, families or entrepreneurs," emphasized the mayor.

For his part, the Councilor for Urban Planning, Maciot Cabrera, is also pleased that "these licenses affect Argana Alta, La Vega and Puerto de Naos, because their execution will contribute to the prosperity of these neighborhoods and an emblematic area of the city such as the port area."

Arrecife is one of the areas of Lanzarote that attracts the most new private investments, as can be seen in the development that the new commercial and industrial area of Argana Alta is achieving, or the recent opening of new commercial premises in Calle Real, a neuralgic area of the capital of Lanzarote focused on commercial activity and the center of financial and administrative entities.
