The Arrecife City Council, through the Arrecife Animal Protection Center, has launched a new initiative to encourage citizens to adopt dogs that are housed in the Animal Protection Center. In recent weeks, coinciding with the confinement due to covid 19, there has been an increase in the number of dogs entering this center, and even several puppies have been born.

The Councilor for Health, and head of this Arrecife Animal Protection Center, Saro González Perdomo, has invited the population, who love canines, to promote a civic commitment and encourage the adoption of these dogs that remain housed in this municipal center.

Those interested can consult the pets available for adoption through the Facebook page of the Animal Protection Center, and with internal messages, people can request more information and process the adoption request.

After the declaration of the alert for covid 19, this center of the Arrecife City Council, like all public and municipal facilities in the capital of Lanzarote, has been subjected to preventive treatments of constant cleaning and disinfection.
