The Arrecife City Council has reopened this Wednesday the San Ginés Fair, according to an announcement by the mayor, Yonathan de León, on his social networks.

De León adds that "as mayor of Arrecife, I am known for ensuring that establishments and firms comply. The Local Police have verified that the attractions in the fairground comply with the Security Plan registered with the City Council." "Let's enjoy safe patron saint festivities."

The deputy mayor and councilor for Festivities, Echedey Eugenio, thanks the municipal services and the fairground operators themselves for their "commitment and dedication to safety in the space, highlighting the joint work and the involvement of all of them so that the fairground has all the guarantees for users."

"As we said yesterday, we are not going to skimp on time or resources when it comes to security," Eugenio emphasizes.

The installation will remain open as planned in the festival program, and it will soon be announced on which days the activity not carried out on Tuesday afternoon will be recovered.

As will be recalled, the area of the attractions next to the Charco de San Ginés had been closed this Tuesday, after deficiencies in security were detected. The Fair, which began operating on August 9, had planned to dedicate this Tuesday to an inclusive day especially designed for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), but "it has not been able to open its doors because the incorporation of new elements has caused several problems," they explained.

A closure that led to criticism from citizens who approached the area and found it closed without anyone having informed them, and from the PSOE, who accused Yonathan de León of "disregarding legality" after the closure of the San Ginés fair.
