The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Ministry of Public Works, has reported the start of thereinforcement works of the pavement on the LZ-58 road, in the section between kilometer points 5+235 and 5+808, corresponding to the access to the town of La Vegueta from El Peñón.
The works have begun this Monday April 27 and have an estimated execution period of two weeks.
During the first days, in which cleaning and preparation work will be carried out on the road, the road will remain open to traffic as normal. However, during the bituminous mix laying phase, it will be necessary to establish punctual closures, so users are recommended to use alternative routes.
The Minister of Public Works of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Jacobo Medina, has pointed out that this action is "part of the plan for the improvement and maintenance of the island roads, with the aim of guaranteeing the safety and comfort of users".
From the island institution, the public is asked for understanding regarding any possible inconveniences caused and the importance of respecting the signage and the indications of the construction personnel is recalled.
