A digger caused a fault in a medium-voltage underground line at midday this Thursday, which runs between the Guacimeta airport road and the Vía Medular roundabout. The vehicle, from the company "Bruesa", which was working on municipal rainwater works, accidentally broke a cable, which caused a power cut, which affected areas of Arrecife, as reported by Unelco-Endesa in a statement.
The electrical incident took place around 12.04 hours. The fault required the intervention of Unelco teams, whose action allowed the supply to be recovered in just half an hour, with the electrical fluid fully normalised at 12.30 hours.
Unelco Endesa has regretted these unfortunate circumstances caused by "third parties" in a press release.
