The San Bartolomé City Council has reopened the Playa Honda soccer field, after completing the work of replacing the artificial turf and improving the fencing.
The mayor, Isidro Pérez, has pointed out that this is a project that aims to provide the population of Playa Honda with "optimal and well-maintained facilities for the enjoyment of the activities that take place" on the soccer field. “With this work, we reaffirm the commitment of the City Council to the continuous improvement of sports infrastructures for the comfort of users”, explains Pérez.
For his part, the Councilor for Sports and Public Works, Raúl de León, has celebrated that these improvements add to the previous actions in the facilities; such as the renovation of the bathrooms, changing rooms and cafeteria area. He also indicated that this action "will allow young people to enjoy adequate infrastructures for the sports activities they carry out."
The execution of this work has been carried out by the company ‘Obras y Pavimentos Especiales S.A.’, with a budget of 429,211.43 euros.
