Yaiza and AFOL encourage walking on October 23 against cancer

Playa Blanca hosts this solidarity event that proposes a family tour through the center of the tourist town. Those interested can register by paying 10 euros

The Yaiza City Council and the Association of Oncohematological Families of Lanzarote (AFOL) presented this Monday the sixth edition of 'We Walk Against Cancer', a 100% solidarity sports and family event in favor of the social actions carried out by AFOL, for whose registration it is only necessary to fill in the data in the cover banner of www.yaiza.es, or in the association's communication channels, and make effective the contribution of 10 euros that also gives the right to a t-shirt and water.

“We make a call for solidarity and we hope for the union of many people to help AFOL maintain its very important social mission,” said the mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda. "We await the registrations of our people to share, enjoy and above all support patients and families. Join our challenge,” said AFOL President Carmen Arrocha.

Óscar Noda thanked “the involvement of AFOL, the volunteers, the staff of the Department of Social Services and all the municipal staff involved in the organization of the walk", hoping for "the involvement of sports clubs and associations and groups on the Island”.

The concentration of those registered is scheduled for Sunday, October 23 in the Plaza del Carmen in Playa Blanca to walk towards Calle Limones, go down to the Paseo Marítimo, go to the Marina Rubicón marina and return along the same Paseo to the Plaza del Carmen.
