This year Lanzarote contributes two candidates to the list of 313 aspirants to participate in the 55th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. The grand final will be held in the Norwegian capital of Oslo on May 29, after the two semi-finals take place on the 25th and 27th of the same month. Before that, the Arrecife natives Isi Hernández and Cristian Guamon must pass a first filter, which will be held on February 5. They will access that final if they gather enough votes on the official page of the Radio Televisión Española festival ([http://www.rtve.es /television/eurovision/candidatos->http://www.rtve.es /television/eurovision/candidatos]).
Isi Hernández has in his favor a long musical career that begins at the age of 4 in the Folkloric Group Coros y Danzas de Arrecife and a good performance in last year's final, while Cristian Guamon is backed by his desire to improve the results of the past edition and demonstrate that he knows and can live from the world of music. In addition, he has already published his first work, "Rockmántico", a promotional album with 5 songs that he recorded at the end of 2008 and that has been well received on the Internet.
Far from Lanzarote
Both currently live and work in Madrid, where they are building a future in the difficult world of song day by day. Isi is "the lead singer" of a company that is dedicated to the production of musicals, and Cristian, since last November, is already starting to get his first and increasingly numerous "gigs". They are both 24 years old, they both aspire to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest, they both defend their songs with all their passion, and, perhaps, one of them may be the one who reaches that stage in Oslo.
