Maritime Rescue has intercepted two precarious boats bound for Lanzarote during the night of this Saturday.
The first, a wooden boat in which 47 male migrants of Maghrebi origin were traveling, was rescued at 9:58 p.m. 26 nautical miles from Arrecfe. All were in apparent good health. After performing this first attention, the Guardamar moved to pick up a second boat in which 50 people were traveling, including five women and eight minors.
The rescued people will be transferred to the Commercial dock at 00.30 this Sunday.
With these two boats, a total of three pateras will have arrived in Lanzarote this Saturday, with about 150 people.
