The Burgao Verde association has reported that motorhome users were evicted this Thursday night from Papagayo, where they were spending the night.
"They expel a hundred people with small children, many of them already sleeping after 10 at night. Seriously? What is the reason? And why at that time, making them break the curfew, when previously they had already passed several times and did not notify anything?", they have pointed out on social networks.
In addition, they affirm "that the Yaiza City Council had agreed that they could spend the night in the camping area." "This is already a persecution and what happened makes no sense," they lament.
And it is that, they state that they understand that "if the sanitary restrictions were not met, they would take measures, fine, etc." but not that the motorhome users were kicked out "like cattle" and at that time", making them "break the curfew". "Without words", they add.
"What is clear to us is that motorhome users, as always, will have to spend our money outside the island, since we are not welcome here and instead in others they open the door for us, sad but true", concludes the Burgao Verde association.
