The VIII Professional Opportunities Exhibition “Planéate 2023”, organized by the Education area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, has opened its doors this Wednesday on the esplanade of the Arrecife Fairgrounds, where it will remain until next Saturday, March 25.
The president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo, and the Minister of Education, Myriam Barros, visited the facilities on this first day. A tour in which they were accompanied by the island director of Education, Celeste Callero.
“Lanzarote is the only Canary Island that has an event of such dimensions and characteristics, linked to the orientation of our students”, Corujo highlighted, who also congratulated the entire team of the Education area of the Cabildo “because this year, without a doubt, has meant a before and after for Planéate”.
And, as the president has stated, nearly 3,000 students will visit the Planéate Space, where they will receive advice so that they can choose the training itinerary that best suits their profile and interests.
“We are very happy, because this first day is being a complete success and is allowing our students to discover new study options”, said the Minister of Education of the first island corporation, Myriam Barros
Planéate is a space in which university degree studies, vocational training and other official education converge, aimed at students in the 4th year of ESO, 2nd year of Bachillerato and the Enclave Classrooms of the island who, in addition to receiving advice from the more than 30 participating centers, can enjoy mini-talks by the University Foundation of Las Palmas and the School of Actors of the Canary Islands until Friday.
On Saturday the 25th there will be an open day for families and the general public, which will take place from 09:00 to 14:00. In addition, that day we will have the presence of Javier Santaolalla, physicist and scientific communicator who participated in the discovery of the Higgs Boson, who at 11:00 a.m. will offer the closing talk of Planéate 2023, entitled “The power of ideas”.
