The weather situation that the Canary Islands are suffering is being noticed in the airports of the Islands, especially in Tenerife North and La Palma, which has also caused delays at the César Manrique airport in Lanzarote. So much so, that the Binter flight NT 1021, which should have taken off at 2:35 p.m. to Tenerife North, had to be canceled since the plane came from the Tenerife airport itself, and due to weather conditions it was unable to take off.
However, Aena has told La Voz that for the moment there have been no major incidents at the Lanzarote airport, except for some delays due, above all, to the situation at the Tenerife and La Palma airports.
Regarding the situation in the ports of the Island, for now, and despite the orange warning for coastal phenomena, there have been no striking incidents in the ports of Playa Blanca, Órzola and Caleta de Sebo. Except for minor delays, maritime companies continue to operate normally between Lanzarote and La Graciosa and connecting Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
It should be remembered that the Government of the Canary Islands has suspended teaching activity this Monday afternoon, and that the Cabildo of Lanzarote has recommended the suspension of activities that take place outdoors.
