This Sunday the parish of San Ginés Obispo celebrated the feast of Corpus Christi. At twelve o'clock in the afternoon and with the three naves of the temple crowded by the parishioners and as many others who stayed outside in the Plaza de Las Palmas, began the celebration of the Eucharist presided over by the parish priest of San Ginés, Juan Carlos Medina.

For such a special celebration, the church wore its best with a floral ornamentation, the work of the Hernández Fuentes family, always willing to collaborate. The songs were enlivened by the "Parish Choir", directed by Professor José Umpierrez.

Once the Eucharist was finished, the procession of the Blessed Sacrament began in the Sacred Custody under canopy, when crossing the portico of the church it was received with applause by the public that was in the surroundings of the square, the ringing of the bells and then the chords of the National Anthem interpreted by the Music Band "La Unión de Lanzarote" sounded, directed by Professor Pepe Artiles.

The procession went through the streets surrounding the church adorned with the traditional salt carpets which were made on Saturday afternoon by different cultural groups as tradition dictates.
