The singer Henry Méndez will perform at the Arrecife Carnival next Monday, starting at 11:30 p.m., in the Ramírez Cerdá park. His best-known song is "Rayos del Sol".
The City Council has stated that the Dominican's performance, who is touring the Canary Islands these days, "is the best-kept secret of the capital's Carnival." This was "the surprise announced in past days by the responsible councilor, Víctor Sanginés," according to the City Council.
Henry Méndez, a reggeaton, rap, latin house, and dance singer, achieved international success through his collaborations with Dr. Bellito and Mr. R Rommel in "El Masaje" and "Pukutu", with Robbie Moroder in "Súbete la falda" and especially with the DJ and producer José de Rico, thanks to hits like "Te fuiste" and "Rayos de sol".
His versions have been included in several compilations of Latin dances and his songs are played in nightclubs throughout Europe and Latin America, as highlighted by the City Council in a statement.
