The Covid-19 outbreak detected in a gym in Arrecife continues to grow and this Monday already has 48 cases, eight more than last Friday

Of those affected, 27 "are directly related to sports activity", according to Sanidad, which means that five more positives have been detected among users or workers of the center during the weekend. As for the remaining 21, they correspond to ramifications in the family or social sphere.

The outbreak was reported last Wednesday and initially had 20 associated cases, but since then it has continued to increase and tracking efforts are still ongoing.

Last Friday, the Ministry pointed out that they were studying a screening “to limit the outbreak, determine its scope and avoid new infections”, but for the moment they have not confirmed whether they will finally carry it out.
