The Mexican singer and composer Julieta Venegas will perform in Lanzarote on July 7. Venegas will return to the Canary Islands, within her European tour, which will take her to France, Spain and, for the first time, Germany.

Venegas is currently combining her motherhood with the recording of what will be her next record. Venegas, who has been awarded a Grammy and 4 Latin Grammys, will perform on the island, although it has not been specified where. Tickets for the Lanzarote show will go on sale in the coming days.

In addition, she will offer two other concerts in Gran Canaria and Tenerife. Julieta Venegas has sold more than 10 million records worldwide.

Julieta Venegas was born and raised in Tijuana, Baja California, and began studying classical piano at age 8 and then received classes in theory, singing and cello. As a teenager, and after participating in several musical formations, she began to compose her own songs and, at age 22, she moved to Mexico City, where she received support for her musical proposal from Café Tacuba.

In 1995 she was invited to compose the soundtrack for the play Calígula Probablemente, by Francisco Franco and created the group Lula, at a time when she began to play the accordion that characterizes her. The subsequent band La Milagrosa led to simply Julieta Venegas and, in 1996, the Mexican released her first record, Aquí, with the production of Gustavo Santaolalla.
