The main street of Playa Honda was dressed up this Saturday. Inflatable mats for the entertainment of the little ones in the house, music by Aitor Dj., rhythm by the Batucada Guaychara de Ajei, from the Comparsa Cumbacheros and sports with Zumba Party by the Timanfaya Association enlivened the Saturday afternoon in the town. And to culminate the day, the Drag Queen Playa Honda 2015 Gala. 

The event, carried out and supervised by Samira Rif and with numerous business sponsorships, had participants from Gran Canaria and the special collaboration and performance of the conejero Jesús Casillas, Drag Xoul, winner of La Palma 2013. The participating public applauded the different and daring performances, tremendously enjoying the festive night. A total of 10 Drags paraded on stage, amusing and amazing the public with their performances, choreographies and stagings.

The first three prizes went to Drag Vulcano, winning the Drag Queen Playa Honda 2015 award, who received his sash from the mayoress, María Dolores Corujo. The first two finalists were Drag Acrux, who was presented with the sash by the Councilor for Commerce, Juan Carlos Rocío, and Drag Orion, who received the sash from David Rocío, Councilor for Tourism of the San Bartolomé City Council. The drags Enomine, Aquaerom, Sairum, Hydrus, Frenchy Morgana, Drag Augeron and Drago On also participated in the party. 

The jury was made up of a total of fifteen people, distributed in an invited jury, made up of María Dolores Corujo, mayoress of San Bartolomé, Juan Carlos Rocío, Councilor for Commerce, David Rocío, Councilor for Tourism, Manuel Rodríguez Fernández and Poonan Nanwami; specialist jury, made up of Jesús Casillas "Drag Xoul", Beatrice Senent, Tony Byang, María Dolores Fernández and Fran Vega and, as a press jury, Claudia Claros (La Más Latina FM), Ruiz Rodríguez (Radio Tías), Carlos Chavaud (Europa FM), Josué Duarte (Biosfera TV) and José Guillén (Latina FM). Jesús Casillas was in charge of chairing the jury.

And that was not all, there was more rhythm and more dancing. The night concluded with performances by Fashion School, Escuela Beatrice Senent, Baila Conmigo Lanzarote, La Escuela de Danza Árabe Samira Rif and Top Gatz Dance. 

The Calle Mayor remained closed to traffic from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., while all the planned activities were held. The public accompanied throughout the evening, whose objective is to boost local commerce and the Calle Mayor Open Commercial Zone of Playa Honda.
