Flying over the island of Lanzarote with Microsoft Flight Simulator. Video: Joaquín Gelmini

A video published by Joaquín Gelmini shows the exotic landscapes of the island of Lanzarote, from the houses of the capital to the imposing Risco de Famara, all from a bird's eye view.

The sequence was recorded through Microsoft Flight Simulator, a simulator that represents the entire planet in real time and on a 1:1 scale, that is, one meter in real life is one meter in the simulator. To do this, the simulator uses satellite images and artificial intelligence that recreates the world in a way that is practically identical to reality.

His adventure began on September 18, 2020 at the Morón Airport, Buenos Aires, in Argentina and from there he created a travel route that would lead him to get aerial views of countless places.

With more than 1,100 videos published on his YouTube channel, of which 23 correspond to Spain, Gelmini has managed to fly over countries in South America and Central America, such as Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Cuba, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

The man explains that his objective is "to fly around the entire planet" so that everyone can see how the different countries, cities, towns and houses are represented.
