The traditional jolateros regatta in the Charco de San Ginés has been so far one of the most crowded activities of the Arrecife patron saint festivities. In addition, while this traditional event was being held, a group of Urban Sketchers artists captured ‘in situ’ the best panoramic view of El Charco, drawing the attention of passers-by.
The regatta took place in the Charco de San Ginés with great participation from the little ones. Among the public was the Councilor for Festivities, David Duarte, who praises the enthusiasm that all the participants put in, especially the little ones. "It is a pride to see the faces of effort and emotion that are reminiscent of childhood. The jolateros are part of this city and its sea and must always be present at the festivals," the mayor highlighted.
The regatta was held in three categories: up to 12 years old, between 12 and 17 and from 18, the latter being the most participatory.
