The Intensive Care Unit of the Molina Orosa Hospital is emptying. The last patient who was admitted for Covid-19 has been transferred to the ward this Wednesday after spending 57 days in this unit. She was admitted to the Molina Orosa on March 30 and to the UMI on March 31.
Therefore, there are two patients left in the hospital, both women. Both have already tested negative in the PCR tests, but they remain in the Hospital while they recover and have not yet been given epidemiological discharge.
The island has now gone nineteen consecutive days without diagnosing new cases of Covid-19, so the 85 accumulated cases since the start of the pandemic remain. There are already 77 patients who have overcome the disease and only one positive has been confirmed in the last month.
During this past day, samples from 71 people were analyzed, all of them giving negative results.
