The Hindu community of Lanzarote bids farewell to Ganesha, the god of wisdom

Ganesha, represented with a human body, elephant head, and multiple arms, is one of the most admired and well-known divinities in Hinduism.

The Hindu community of Lanzarote celebrated the festival of Ganesha (elephant god) at the Hindu Temple Deva Mandir, the only temple in Tahíche. 

After ten days of celebration, the Hindu community of the island bid farewell to Ganesha, the god of wisdom, on the beach of Costa Teguise. Ganesha is represented with a human body, elephant head, and multiple arms, and is one of the most admired and well-known divinities in Hinduism. The patron of the arts, sciences, and beginnings was bid farewell in Costa Teguise.

During these days, offerings and vegetarian food have been the protagonists of these festivities of the also known as GANESH CHATURTHI. The celebrations have also served for the Hindu community to gather at Deva Mandir.

The President of Clubdialanz, the Hindu community of Lanzarote, Dharmendra Bhagwandas, Jethani Jethani, and Ramesh Dhanwani of Deva Mandir indicate that Ganesha is for Hindus like the Virgin of Los Dolores; Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated in India and in all parts of the world where there are Hindus.
