The Helimer helicopter and Maritime Rescue have participated since the early hours of this Tuesday in an operation to search for a dinghy with about 30 people on board that had been adrift north of the island of Lanzarote.
According to information gathered by La Voz de Lanzarote, the operation was activated around 4:30 AM this Tuesday, July 14. Initially, the Helimer helicopter took off to try to locate the precarious vessel.
Once the dinghy was located, Maritime Rescue mobilized the Al Nair rescue boat, which is heading to the area to proceed with the rescue of its occupants.
