The Government of the Canary Islands declares pre-alert for coastal phenomena in Lanzarote

The pre-alert starts from 2:00 p.m. this Monday and bad sea conditions are expected with waves of 2 to 3 meters high

The General Directorate of Emergencies has declared the pre-alert for coastal phenomena this Monday in Lanzarote based on the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

The pre-alert begins from 2:00 p.m. this Monday and bad sea conditions are expected with waves of 2 to 3 meters high. As for the wind, it will be from the northeast with force 5 to 6 (29 to 49 kilometers per hour. There will be strong swell and northeast swell of 1 to 2.5 meters high.

This situation also extends to the islands of Fuerteventura, the west, north and northeast coast of La Palma and El Hierro, the north coast of La Gomera and the north and east coast of Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
