The Government of the Canary Islands, through the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies, declares the Alert situation due to Coastal Phenomena in the Canary Islands: north and west coast of El Hierro, La Palma, La Gomera, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, and north coast of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, starting at 9:00 p.m. on November 29.
This decision is made taking into account the information available and in application of the Specific Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands due to Risks of Adverse Meteorological Phenomena (PEFMA).
Observations: Bad sea conditions. Combined sea swell in prediction of 4 to 5.5 meters. Larger waves are likely to hit the coastline. On Monday, wind force 5 to 6 (30 to 50 km/h) from the west and southwest. Swell to strong swell in the western islands. Northwest swell of 3 to 5 meters.
High tides on Monday, November 30 at 00:41 - 01:06 depending on the area, and 12:55 to 13:20, depending on the area.
The rest of the coastal areas remain in a pre-alert situation.
