The multipurpose hall of the Security and Emergency Consortium was the place chosen for the presentation of the awareness campaign "chacho, don't even think about it" that seeks to have a "Safe and happy Christmas", of which the president of the entity, Marcos Bergaz, and its manager Enrique Espinosa, gave details this Tuesday.
The objective is to convey to the population in general advice to have Christmas holidays without scares, "in which joy and meeting with acquaintances, friends and family is the predominant note", they point out from the Consortium.
For this, maxims such as not driving under the effects of alcohol or drugs, taking extreme precautions with pyrotechnic elements or prevention to avoid fires in the home, are presented as the leitmotiv of different advertisements that will occupy the island's television, radio and digital media in the coming days.
The president of the Consortium, Marcos Bergaz, made a call for collective sanity, "to avoid that these holidays are tarnished with tragic events that none of us want, that we ask for caution in the celebrations and common sense to have a safe and happy Christmas holiday"
In this way, "the population is urged to banish certain behaviors under the slogan 'chacho, don't even think about it', a very ours expression, aimed at drawing attention to actions that can generate risk for the physical integrity of people", says Bergaz.
For the manager of the entity, Enrique Espinosa, "this type of campaign is important in the prevention of accidents, because it is always better to prevent than to cure, which we try with clear and understandable messages for the common citizen".
From the Consortium, we take the opportunity to congratulate the Christmas holidays to the entire population of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, with the wish that "they run with absolute normality, and be the prelude to a 2023 full of good news".
