The Emergency and Civil Protection Service of Yaiza will be awarded at the event that will be held on the occasion of Constitution Day. The body, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, will receive the award for "its services to the community" that they develop in the southern municipality.
Civil Protection of Yaiza has intervened during these ten years in more than 1,000 services, including roadside assistance, maritime rescue, assistance in accidents and control and security in large events.
The 20 people who make up the service will receive the award on December 6, at the event that has been organized in the Plaza de Los Remedios de Yaiza. This will be chaired by the Mayor of Yaiza, José Francisco Reyes, the President of the Cabildo, Inés Rojas, and Marcial Martín, the island delegate of the Government.
