The entrance to the IES Costa Teguise has been guarded this Wednesday by agents of the Civil Guard, after the center reported two incidents with a denier.
The last one took place this Tuesday, when the man stood at the doors of the institute with a banner against the use of masks in classrooms. In the images captured by witnesses, he is seen without a mask among the students, even though its use is still mandatory outdoors.
In addition, the same man had been at the center on Monday, from where they point out that he distributed pamphlets to the teachers “inciting disobedience”.
After that first episode, the institute's management decided to supervise the students' departure the following day, which was when they found the man with that banner.
Then they decided to notify both the Councilor for Education of Teguise and the Civil Guard, although the man had already left when the agents arrived, so he could not be identified.

However, from the institute they explain that the Civil Guard has taken measures to prevent these incidents from happening again, and this Wednesday they went to the center first thing in the morning, during the students' entrance. In addition, it is expected to do so at the students' departure as well.
Some students pointed out that this would have also happened in other centers, but from the Insular Directorate of Education they indicate that they have no record of other similar episodes in more institutes or schools on the island.
