The Las Palmas Civil Guard Headquarters, in coordination with the Association of Volunteers in Emergencies and Rescue of Lanzarote Emerlan, has carried out a solidarity campaign to collect food. The collection points were established in official dependencies of the islands of Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, with the aim of facilitating contributions to all members and relatives of the Benemérita.

The more than 2,600 kilos of food collected were delivered this Wednesday, representing the Las Palmas Headquarters, by the Captain Chief of the third Company of the Civil Guard of Lanzarote to Emerlan, who will be in charge of distributing them among the population that has been most affected by the Covid-19 crisis.

The Civil Guard Headquarters established this collaboration with Emerlan, in gratitude for the "constant support" it provides in actions such as aid, emergencies and rescues, helping to provide a better service and response to citizens.

From this Command, gratitude is extended to all its members and units, who have organized themselves together to make a greater contribution, as well as to the Ángeles Verdes Association, which managed the realization of a solidarity motorcycle route to promote contributions. "To all of them, thank you very much for this great gesture of solidarity," they pointed out from the Benemérita.
